The Detroit Lions guard Stephen Peterman has been ruled out for all the remaining games of this season as the team has placed him on the injured reserve list, after he played only two games in Lions jersey this season.

Peterman was Detroit’s starting right guard in 2007 and 2008 and was signed to a five-year contract in February. He was installed by Coach Jim Schwartz at defensive end in a 26-0 loss to the Green bay Packers on Oct. 18th. And his last played game was last Sunday’s 27-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and it was during that game he sustained the ankle injury that sent him to the season-ending IR list.

The Lions signed wide receiver Eric Fowler off the practice squad to fill in the roster room left by Peterman. The former Grand Valley State receiver joined Lions’ training camp after spending last fall at the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad. He was cut during training camp but was signed back to practice squad again by the Lions.
